School Uniform
The purpose of the uniform is to ensure children wear practical and appropriate clothes for the range of activities they need to take part in at school; to provide uniformity and to give the children a sense of belonging to our community.
We rely on parents and carers to co-operate with governors and staff by following the uniform policy and sending their children to school wearing appropriate clothing. We encourage parents and carers to contact the school if they are unsure about any aspect of the policy or if they have difficulty abiding by it for any reason.

The school colours are navy blue and jade green (Note that you do not have to purchase items with the school logo on, as long as the colours are correct):

3. Jewellery and hair accessories
Children should not wear jewellery to school. An exception will be made for pierced ears (plain, small studs only may be worn for safety reasons. Novelty earrings are not acceptable) and if the jewellery is of a religious or medical significance. Please see your child’s class teacher if this is the case.
Children with long hair should wear it tied or clipped back for school. Hair accessories should be discreet and in black, grey or white. Novelty headbands are not acceptable. Extremes in hair styles or colours are not permitted.

Sales of second hand clothing are also held regularly. These are advertised around the school in advance.

Are other colours an acceptable alternative to those mentioned in the list?
No. The school colours are navy and jade green, with black and grey.
Can my child wear trainers or other similar sports/leisure shoes provided that they are plain black?
No. We ask that children wear plain black shoes. Trainers can be worn for PE.
Can my child wear open toed sandals in summer?
No, these are not appropriate for a busy primary school.
I am struggling to get all the required items of uniform, what should I do?
Talk to the class teacher in the first instance, who will issue a temporary uniform pass. For those families in receipt of Free School Meals please see the attached document:
